  •  We saw Jesus’ plan for the disciples in Acts 1: to go from Jerusalem to Judea & Samaria to the ends of the earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit. We now see the church growing in Jerusalem. In that early and short time period (perhaps no more than a couple of years), we learn a lot about the church they established: the message they proclaimed, the growing pains they experienced, a major threat they faced, and the role of the Holy Spirit in helping them through this  period, while also preparing them for the next steps: to go to Judea & Samaria (Acts 8), and then to the ends of the earth (Acts 9-28 and beyond).
