Why do Christians suffer? It's an age-old question, and the Thessalonians were asking the same question. Persecution increased even while their lifestyle became more Christian. How do you encourage people in that situation? How do we deal with the "why?" Paul doesn't answer the "why?" but suggests three ideas about what can come out of suffering for Christians.
