“It’s a matter of opinion,” we may say when in an argument with someone. We live in a world that attempts to value everyone’s opinion, yet the most popular opinion wins. French philosopher Voltaire once said: “Opinion has caused more trouble on this little earth than plagues or earthquakes” Why? Herbert Spencer chimes in: “Opinion is ultimately determined by the feelings, and not by the intellect.” There was never a person in history who was the subject of such widely varying opinions than Jesus Christ. And yet, there are really only three legitimate possibilities. We get a glimpse of them all in Mark 3:20-35.
