Sometimes we use the phrase “safe and sound,” praying for travelers, or those with risky jobs: “bring them back safe and sound.” By safe we mean alive; by sound we mean healthy, unaffected, unstained. The work of the Holy Spirit is to bring us back to God safe and sound.
