We've seen the success of Alcoholics Anonymous and other twelve-step programs over the years, and one of the key principles behind them is to "let go and let God," to give up some control over yourself and let God be in control. That's not a new idea. In fact, we find it in Psalm 42-43. While these Psalms can stand alone, the identical refrain (42:5, 11; 43:5) indicates that they may have been originally written as one Psalm, or at least used together.  They are psalms of lament, an urgent prayer in the situation of need.
