Here we have a true picture of a faith healer and his healing, as he applies his power to sickness and death. But there couldn’t be a greater contrast between his two “patients” — a prominent leader of the local synagogue and an outcast, unclean, poor and terribly sick woman. They are two vastly different people, but both found themselves beyond help and responded to Jesus with faltering faith. You see, faith healing isn’t dependent on the strength of one’s faith; in fact, strengthening faith was always part of Jesus’ faith healing.
